Rodney Harder was born in Ogallala, Nebraska, in 1950. He lived in Fresno, California, from 1963 to 1984, and received his MA in Fine Art at California State University, Fresno in 1975. Since 1984, he has lived in New York City, where he teaches fine art at Collegiate School.
